After a seemingly long wait in the "pre-pre-op" room, Krissi was finally taken into the limited-access area where they perform the actual operation prep. She was her typical sassy self, hassling the staff and trying to work around all the rules possible; "I'm sure I don't have to take out my contacts quite yet..." The poor guy who came to transport her didn't know what he was in for. He probably would have thrown up his hands and left her in the hall if he wasn't laughing so hard. I think he got the last laugh though.

She must have been a hit behind the big double doors too, since they came to say she was already under sedation about 10 minutes later. Maybe the transport guy gave them a secret hand sign?
Anyway, Krissi was in the operating area sometime around 10:25. Details of the surgery have been light today, but it's supposed to take around three hours, with another three in recovery. Everything has been going very well.
