This week I've had an awesome amount of energy, but yesterday afternoon I sort of hit a wall...

... the wall that says, (as my face is smooshed against it and the words suddenly look large and looming) "SLOW DOWN OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!"

Yup. Got it.

Had my weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) visit with my Neph today. Also reviewed last Wednesday's and yesterday's blood work - SURPRISE! This week's labs were awesome...

... almost in a 'maybe I shouldn't celebrate just yet' sort of way. But, caution to the wind - I'm jumping for joy!

I'm still not happy with my labs. Plus there seems to be a significant discrepancy between LifeLink's labs (which are processed immediately and available within an hour) and the Quest lab I've been using when I'm not there.

Quest's labs are always worse and the numbers are different (in a suspicious way) than just a week before....

For example:

One thing that a chronically ill person doesn't often have the opportunity to do is care for their own loved ones when they are ill...

...usually it's the other way around...

Even though Ken has been sick for the last 4 days, I've loved being able to reciprocate all of the "caring for" he has done for me over the last million years.

Ken started coughing night before last. By last night he looked miserable... today he slept until 3 PM.

Alek informed me after I picked him up from school today that he has a sore throat... "but I don't have a cold, Mommy, I'm fine".

Uh oh. Quick - Where's my CleanWell hand sanitizer?

Since my last post about the side-effects due to the increase in Myfortic, I've been the lucky recipient of a few more new issues. You know, more stomach stuff, appetite messed up...

But, vertigo? WTF?

I must admit - after four years without a eating a single banana, I'm now bananas about my bananas...

... I've been riding non-stop waves of nausea for three days. Not fun.

Today's LifeLink clinic + doctor appointment went well. My numbers are 'acceptable' albeit not as great as I'd like.

But the doctors seem happy enough.
